Detroit Marathon & Half Marathon
October 17th - 19th, 2008

* 13 members travelled to Detroit this weekend to participate in the marathon
(11) and half (2)

* 3 new Boston qualifiers including first time marathoner Rachel German with a
3:38. Mom Sarah and Stacey Rohrbeck were our other two

* A truly wonderful international course travelling into Windsor Canada over the
Ambassador Bridge and back under water through the Windsor tunnel.  It was noted
by Ramin how surprisingly similar the Canadiens looked liked Americans


Keith shares some tutu stories . . . Enjoying some light times at the Randy's and Lynneth's home in Rochester, MIAfter the sun goes down at the picnic, conversation moves inside . . . * A pre race barbecue hosted by Lynneth Lohse and Randy Boss on Saturday night provided just the right atmosphere for sending us off on Sunday.

* Friday night was spent downtown Detroit in Greektown as Stacey shared with us the ins and outs of Greek food

* Deb Keener, with her well layed out weekend planner, had us viewing Detroit and Canada 72 stories up in the GM building after our Greek dinner

* expo, visits to ann arbor, tour of the original motown, and bike rides
occupied our saturday.
