Many of our members braved excessive heat warnings to run solo, run relay, or graciously help and support at this past weekend's 24 hour run at Lloyd Hall http://www.20in24.com

Many more stories will surface, I'm sure, but I wanted to get the news out that Fast Tracks ultra runners took away three handsome trophies:

Jennifer Van Allen   111 miles   1st female, 2nd overall
Keith Straw             103 miles   3rd male
Jen Erickson           76 miles     3rd female

This is astonishing stuff, and makes me wonder just what kind of club I belong to!

Kudos to Jen Erickson for leaping into the ultra world just two months ago, and already holding three accolades at these excessive distances.

And hats off to Jennifer Van Allen for a STUNNING performance. 111 miles puts her in the top handful of US women ultra runners for the most miles covered in 24 hours. She was only pipped into 2nd place overall because Serge Arbona chose to compete. Serge held the world record for running 152 treadmill miles in 24 hours.
