Eight Fast Trackers hit the road this weekend and ran/walked the New Jersey/Long Branch Marathon & Half Marathon. Our weekend started off with a pasta dinner in Red Bank on Saturday evening to get us all excited about the race.
Seven of the eight ran the marathon with five of the seven runners achieving a PR . . . Michael Reese led the pack with a 3:49 while the other PRs were achieved by Debbie Zyskowski (4:02), Deb Gordon (4:08), Andi Lieberman (4:10), Megan Morris (4:12) . . . Tom Chaves and Harry Rimmer bookended the female marathon finishers' fine achievements to round out the marathon contingent.
Terry Clopper-Chaves walked a PR in the half-marathon with a sub 3:40 "beating" all of the marathoners . . .
There was also a good support crew cheering and running and biking with us consisting of Deb Gordon's husband Steve, Andi Lieberman's husband Eric, Megan Morris' fiance Peter, Jerry Davis, and Debbie Zyskowski's daughter Kaitlyn.
